Pinball petes apply9/6/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() If it was a pipe inside the structure this (should be) a non-issue and covered. Being a service pipe to the place of business makes me believe that it was a pipe that broke outside the structure. No coverage under a homeowners policy (and I highly doubt it under a commercial policy either). I have had a number of insureds who's supply line from the street break in their front yard. I didn't see the edit until after my post. "Editor's note: Information obtained from the City of Ann Arbor Friday morning indicates the broken water line was not a water main but a water service line, that is the responsibility of the property owner." It is hard enough finding viable arcades anymore, then one that is respected has this happen to it.Īs someone w=once noted to me.Basements are great.until they aren't. The real issue will be getting everything dried out well to prevent mold from forming not only in the building but also in the cabinets. The ones made of real plywood (Williams Moon Patrol) were actually fine. The ones made of particle board cabinets were swollen like Rocky after a bout with Apollo Creeed. ![]() The video games I have were in various conditions. The second time our basement got water, we got about 6 inches of water. Power supplies are mounted on the bottoms though, so that could be a potential issue. Much newer stuff may be an exception, I don't know. Many boardsets are mounted on the sides of the games. If the videos were an indication of the final water level I would say this:ģ) The video games will likely have cabinet swelling at the bottom. As someone who has been through basement flooding, I can tell you this sucks. ![]()
